Violet and the Fox is a bespoke flower studio in Melbourne run by Mel Barkley. She specialises in unique and unusual flower combos. Her work really is distinctive and beautiful – I would highly recommend following her on insta for inspiring floral eye candy (as per her photos showcased here).
Mel’s business name was inspired by her children – Violet is her daughter’s middle name and Fox is for her son who was obsessed by the animal as a toddler.
For her logo, Mel wanted something with an old-world style. She envisaged a vintage design in black stamped on brown paper. We didn’t only look at fox and violet concepts, but ultimately came back to variations of a hand-drawn fox (and the tiny violet in the grass!).
